TELEPHONE SCAM ALERT!
The Bartow County Commissioner's Office has been notified of a possible telephone scam that citizens should be made aware of. The caller threatens to place liens on the homeowners property if the property owner doesn't contact them immediately to sign legal documents.
Be advised that the Tax Assessors' Office is not involved in any way in the filing of property tax liens, collection of tax liens or the preparation of legal documents, such as deeds, mortgages, etc.
Citizens should remain cautious of any suspicious telephone call asking for money, personal information or your authorization/signature on any type of legal documents and contact the Commissioner's Office or the Tax Assessors' Office immediately.
